In 1901, ELECO designed and supplied the electric light lanterns that now grace the Victoria Embankment in London and has provided innovative technical solutions to the UK construction industry for more than 100 years. in 2015 the name changed to Elecosoft and the company has now emerged as a leading supplier of innovative technology led software applications and training for project management, estimation, visualisation and Building Information Modelling (BIM) disciplines to construction industries worldwide.

Elecosoft currently comprises of operations in Sweden, Germany and UK which market and sell software applications directly to many leading construction companies in those territories and also sells through dealer and channel partner networks in other international markets in Eastern Europe, the US, Australia and New Zealand. 

In 1939, Elecosoft was listed on the London Stock Exchange. It is now listed on the AIM market (AIM:ELCO).
